Text Box: Several Counseling Center staff members were honored for their length of service at a special staff breakfast.  Receiving three year awards were:
 
Debbie O’Brien, B.S.W., L.S.W., Community Psychiatric Support Services
Robin Kirk, Crisis Assistant
William Leasure, Employment Specialist
Nicole Mann, Crisis Assistant
Amanda Pack, Intake Secretary
 
Five-year awards were presented to:
 
Susan Burnett, M.S., L.P.C.C., School-Based Therapist
Tracey Kaletta, Telephone Receptionist
Kathy Fox, Ph.D., Psychologist
Barbara Miller, Medical Records Clerk
Bruce Sampsel, Ph.D., Director of Counseling/Psychotherapy Services
 
Receiving 10-year awards were:
 
Kay Earney, Director of Health Information Services
Penny Eshleman, Residential Assistant
 
A 15-year award was presented to Christine Andrews, M.S.S.A., L.I.S.W., SourceOne Group School-Based Therapist who provides mental health services for the Wayne County Schools Career Center
 
Diane DeRue, M.P.A., L.S.W., Vice-President and Chief of Rehabilitation and Recovery Services, was presented with a 20-year award.  DeRue was recognized for her success in creating a comprehensive array of services to assist persons with severe mental illness.

Text Box: Susan Buchwalter, Ph.D., President/CEO was recognized at the annual meeting of the Ohio Council of Community Behavioral Healthcare Providers with the Mary E. Pettus Excellence in Public Policy Award.   The award is given annually to someone who has made a major public policy contribution to improving the financing, delivery and/or quality of behavioral healthcare for Ohio’s citizens and communities.  Buchwalter has served several terms on the board of the Ohio Council, has served as President of the organization on three different occasions, and has been a long-term member of the Ohio Council Public Policy Committee.
