Kathleen Fox, Ph.D., Psychologist in the Wooster and Millersburg offices, has begun a Social Skills group for young boys between the ages of 10 and 12.  The group will meet at the Benden office. 
Members of the local mental health consumers group, Advocates for Mental Health, recently provided training to all residents of the Center’s group home on the development and implementation of a self-help program entitled the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP). WRAP helps individuals understand, monitor and act to promote their own recovery.

Text Box: consultation on mental health issues to local pre-schools.  She is also credentialed to provide The Incredible Years Dino Dinosaur Program which works with pre-schoolers to help them understand school rules, do their best in school, understand feelings, use effective problem solving skills, manage anger, and work as part of a team at home and school. Stitzlein is the Director of Community Education and Prevention Services for the Center.

Text Box: Two staff members of the Center’s Community Education and Prevention unit recently trained 10 elementary school teachers in Madison County in the use of  The Incredible Years Classroom 
Management Program.  Tina Likovetz, M.A. and Joy Stitzlein, L.I.S.W., are the only persons in the state currently credentialed to provide this training.  During the last year they have also trained 35 local educational personnel. Likovetz is an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist who provides

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES CONTRACT

Text Box: ELECTRONIC SCHEDULING IMPLEMENTED
The Center recently completed the installation of a new electronic scheduling program which will allow automated and coordinated scheduling of appointments across all of the Center’s various offices – Wooster, Orrville, Rittman and Millersburg.  With nearly 200 admissions per month and over 2500 active cases, the system will also facilitate appointment checking and tracking and will also allow front desk personnel to schedule appointments more quickly and to make sure that those requesting service are offered the first available appointment.
