The Incredible Years Parent & Child Program

The Incredible Years is a national, award-winning program designed to help parents of preschool children (ages 2 to 8) learn ways to build their child’s self-esteem while setting limits and avoiding power struggles. 

Who? For Parents of Children 3 to 7 years old

What?

Award-Winning Incredible Years

Parenting Class and Children’s Dinosaur School

When?

Tuesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Beginning February 7, 2010 for 12 weeks

Parents, if you are concerned about a stubborn, defiant or out of control adolescent... The Parent Project® provides concrete solutions to change destructive adolescent behavior.

Join other parents and learn how to:

 
  • Reduce family conflict

  • Improve school attendance and performance

  • Prevent or intervene in alcohol and/or other drug use

  • Stop violence

Child Assault Prevention
The Child Assault Prevention (CAP) program, developed and copyrighted by the International Center for Assault Prevention (ICAP), is a researched prevention program for child assault covering bullying, strangers, and sexual abuse.  The Counseling Center has been providing the CAP program to elementary schools in Wayne and Holmes Counties for over 15 years. In addition to the children’s classroom workshops, there are parent workshops and teacher/staff in-services.
