à documenting statistically significant improvement in symptom distress or problem severity among both adult and child clients
à providing 24-hour access to emergency services and intervening directly with 1,231 persons in need of crisis intervention
à assisting psychiatrically impaired persons in accessing nearly $450,000 in subsidized medications
à securing a three-year renewed national accreditation for all Center services –  the highest 
       accreditation offered
à admitting an average of 179 new clients per month – more than one for every hour that the  
       organization is open
à managing a waiting list for several key services that averaged 93 persons
à helping 150 persons with severe mental illness overcome barriers to employment and secure   at least a part-time position
à completing the year with revenue adequate to cover expenses

Text Box: ANNUAL REPORT HIGHLIGHTS

Text Box: During the fiscal year ending June 2007, the Counseling Center served 3,910 persons with some type of face-to-face mental health service and reached an additional 8,500 with some type of consultation, education or prevention service.  Overall, Counseling Center services touched the lives of approximately 8% of the population of the Wayne and Holmes County area and provided over 157,000 units of care.
 The Center has a current staff of 130 individuals, operates out of seven locations, and is certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities, operates a group home licensed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health, and provides services that are nationally accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.  Highlights of the recent year include:
