Instead of abstract promises, such as I will exercise more often, draw up a game plan; you could, for instance, arrange workouts with a friend every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Vague seem overwhelming, so the more specific you are, the easier it is to concentrate on what you need to do to succeed.
